Mod Mirror Villa
This home renovation and branding project utilized the entire suite of skills of the Desert Society team… and we were up for the challenge of transforming a huge and impressive, yet dated home into a luxury glam vacation rental - and all in under 10 weeks!
This involved sourcing a general contractor who could understand our vision while completing it all on time and on budget. With our sights set on a Hollywood Regency theme, which matched perfectly with the extensive mirrored surfaces within the villa, we went to work to source and select unique tiles and wallpaper, tap ware, light fittings and more.
Luxurious mirror, glass and marble surfaces were complemented by lavish lucite, gold, silver, velvet and faux fur accents with bold splashes of blush pink, vivid violet, vibrant orange, bold blues, jungle greens and more.
Four new bathrooms and a kitchen later, we had also curated all the art for the walls, sourced new and vintage decorative pieces, painted the interior throughout and changed the exterior to a bespoke desert sunset pink.
The expansive back yard needed plenty of love too, starting with a complete pool restoration including our choice of a striking black and white water line tile. This tied in perfectly with our umbrellas and the ‘crowning glory’ of the black and white striped cabana that gave the place a real resort feel.
We then developed the name ‘Mod Mirror Villa’ to market the property, along with an upmarket and luxurious logo that featured a greek key design we had also cleverly incorporated as a feature throughout the villa.
Next came a glamorous launch event, and directing the photography and a video for the home. The imagery was incorporated not only into the website we built to showcase the villa, but utilized across the social media channels that we manage for the vacation property.
