Desert Miracle Makeover
The new owners of this existing vacation rental knew that it lacked the pizzazz needed to grab the attention of potential guests. So we were brought in to give this Indio property a colorful makeover while at the same time adding to the amenities on offer.
The main focus was to create a games room in what was the garage, and so we set about to create a standout attraction to get guests excited. We came up with a “retro arcade” aesthetic, complete with glowing neon sign, prominent 70s/80s-style wall stripes and a large video game mural which really added to the arcade vibe. A lounge area with large wall mounted TV was also added to create a true “hangout” while the garage door itself was covered by screens, which along with the addition of large and colorful rugs gave the impression you were no longer in an actual garage.
We also totally made over the main living area with a new and vivid orange L-shaped sleeper sofa, fresh side and coffee tables in white and wood, plus yellow swivel arm chairs and shag rug. These elements all portrayed warm and sunny “vacation” hues while creating a far more inviting ambience. New kitchen counter stools echoed the style of the chairs in the dining area to create a more cohesive look as well
Out the back, we added colorful side tables, striped umbrellas, bright throw pillows and the “piece de resistance”, a large retro-style branded mural for that perfect instagram moment!
The owners of Desert Miracle could not have been happier, and it’s sure to increase bookings with its fabulous new “thumb-stopping” look.
